In 1916, Fyr-Fyter Manufacturing Corp. started manufacturing fire-fighting products in Dayton, Ohio. In 1946, John T. Crouch established Fyr-Fyter Products Co. as a fire protection equipment sales and service company to distribute Fyr-Fyter products. By 1952, his company had outgrown its shared quarters at the Fyr-Fyter plant. John T. Crouch renamed his company Crouch Fire & Safety Products and moved the business to Warren Street in Dayton, Ohio.
In 1977, Rich and Joy Oxley purchased Crouch Fire & Safety Products. In the 1990s Crouch Fire & Safety product lines were expanded to include the selling and repairing of lights and sirens as well as other emergency vehicle equipment.
In 2005, Megacity Fire Protection purchased Crouch Fire & Safety Products. Once again, Crouch Fire & Safety product lines were expanded to include all of the following products and services:

Crouch Fire & Safety Products operates as a division of Megacity Fire with the same personnel. Crouch Fire & Safety Products is now housed in the same building with Megacity Fire Protection at 8210 Expansion Way, in Dayton, OH.
